Sensational

A friend tried this on a business trip to India and brought back a few bottles. Low and behold, after the first couple of drinks - hooked.
Magnificent value. Smooth, loads of vanilla and cameral to the taste buds.
I have introduced to number of people and everyone loves it.
My go to rum - on ice or with a dash of dirty old coke on a hot summers day - cant go wrong.

Outstanding

Cheap as chips and delicious! Canny whack this delicious nectar at $40 odd bucks it’s brilliant. Was a stolen rum guy until I tried this and it has changed my trajectory.

Legend

There're alcoholic spirits and then there is old monk. There is a reason why this drink has a cult following. Never been advertised and the bottle hasn't changed shape since its inception in 1954. I doubt if it's aged 7yrs at all. Probably has loads of vanilla flavouring and colour. The traditional way to drink it is mix rum and water in 1:4 ratio and you're away. You can smash in ice + coke/ginger beer and it will be great at the end of a long day. However it will mix and make any cocktail you can imagine. Very rarely you will get a hangover off this stuff. It's cheap, accessible and will go well with spicy food. You're not going to nose this stuff or wait for it to open up in your glass to reveal complex flavours. It's made to drink. It can be shared with mates without worrying about breaking the bank. I've been drinking it regularly since I was 17 and I'm 36 now. I always have a bottle hidden away behind all my other fancy malts and brews. If there was one drink to rule them all... this would be it.
