Nose: Is lively, as if the dram is trying to escape the glass - I get an earthy note, a hint of smoke, and some sweet dark fruits.
Palate: The mouthfeel is pleasant with a bit of body to it - the taste is pleasant, but the alcohol produces a bit of a burn - white pepper perhaps. The is a trace of smoke in the background, with some sweetness coming through as well. I don't get much of the Pinot cask.
Finish: The finish is quite long, but is dominated by the white pepper.
