"Jura The Bay Whisky matures for 12 years in casks of American white oak. The finish takes place in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks - this is where sherry wines were stored before, and contains a mix of both peated and unpeated whisky.
The Bay was a follow-up to the four 2017 releases in the distillery's first-ever travel retail exclusive range, joining The Road, The Loch, The Paps and The Sound.
The gift box shows the beautiful bay of the Isle of Jura. In this area, life depends on the coming and going of the tides. This whisky tells the story of "The Bay".
Nose: Caramelised nut and toffee apples, with a dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Palate: Stem ginger, stewed berries, a hint of hickory, crumbly fudge.
Finish: A smidge of liquorice pokes out on the finish, along with more toffee sweetness."
