"In the Wairau Plains sub-region of Marlborough lies Rapaura, traditionally referred to as ‘the Golden Triangle’, where Heather and Milton Staple’s hand-tended Walnut Flat Vineyard is located. A concentrated and complex Chardonnay with great balance stemming from vine age and warm days-cold nights. The smoky and flint elements in the savoury spectrum defining modern chardonnay carry through the aromatic profile. A strong spine of citrus and white nectarine fruit, integrated French oak, and a creamy texture that carries incredible length and persistence intertwine with a fine-tuned acidity.
