Patiently mellowed for 21 years in Scotland, it starts quiet, restrained but rich with a defiant Glenfiddich Distillery DNA. Only when it has reached perfection does it get its time to shine. Finished in Caribbean Reserva Rum Casks to add sharp ginger, sultry fig and uplifting lime notes that build to a crescendo of sweet toffee and spicy exotic warmth.
Colour: Dark gold.
Nose: Intense and vanilla sweet. Floral hints of banana, figs, rich toffee, new leather and oak.
Taste: Initially soft, then brisk, vibrant and drying, peppery, a touch of smoke, oak, lime, ginger and spice.
Finish: Very long, warming, dry and spicy.
