"An exceptional limited release from Speyside, this 21-year-old single malt has been matured exclusively in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 52.8 %, with no chill filtration or added colouring, it celebrates the craft of matured sherry-wood whisky.
On the nose, you’ll be greeted by ripe dark cherries and brandied honeycomb, followed by spiced orange peel, deep treacle and blackberry tart. On the palate, this whisky delivers dark chocolate and dried red berries, maraschino cherries and heather honey, layered with crystallised ginger, plum brandy and mocha. The finish is warming and refined, with lingering hints of leather, rich oak and subtle spice. Best enjoyed neat in a tulip or Glencairn glass so you can appreciate how the flavours unwind. If the strength feels bold, a splash of water will soften the edges and let more fruit and honeyed depth emerge."
