Commercial description

Produced from the gravelly soils of the Gimblett Gravels, this distinct Syrah shows an aromatic lift of floral and pepper aromatics with lushness and elegance on the palate.

The vines originate from a Heritage clone of Syrah brought to New Zealand around 150 years ago.

Gimblett Gravels is a designation encompassing a centuries old dried river bed in Hawke?s Bay that is believed to be the first in the New World where the ultimate boundary is defined by a distinct soil type. TASTING NOTE
