Commercial description:

This sharply priced Champagne is wonderful buying and there is no doubt that a chilled bottle of Charles Orban will look a million bucks on your table. Elegant and dry, this has been vinted from 40% of Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. It's beauty is in the underlying weight that brings depth and drive to the palate, and those fresh bread and tangy citrus characters add a complex, refreshing touch to proceedings. It's truly delicious. The Orban family has been growing grapes in Troissy since 1770 and have clearly honed their house style. Enjoy the fruits of centuries of experience while the price is right.

I liked it

Pleasantly surprised

A relatively light champagne but still held its flavour throughout. Not too sweet. A good option if wanting an affordable bubbles from champagne

Great value champagne

I bought a bottle to take away a few weeks ago to share with a friend and was taken aback at how good it was... so good that I bought another 4 bottles when I returned from the long weekend. It's a bit different from your mainstream champagnes but, to my palate, it has that subtle biscuity touch, dry but not bone dry and a lovely nose. Recommende
