I picked this up on special for just under $50. I'm pretty sure it is sourced from Ardbeg as when I compared it against the Ardbeg 10 and Wee Beastie with a bit of water added to lower the proof, they tasted very similar. However, regardless of the source this is a really good Islay peated whisky at an affordable price. Also a good introduction to Islay peated whisky as at 40% all the classic flavours are present but are a little more subdued, making it more approachable both on price and taste.

I quite enjoyed this Whisky and would buy again. I found it smokey with some peatiness which suited a winter dram. Good value at just over 50 bucks.

This is one of my favorite whisky beside Laphoraig 10 years old.

I enjoyed this and believe it is great value for money. If you want an introduction to Islay, this is not a bad start.
