A nice change.

Normally my dinner guest and i would have a couple of Tawneys after dinner, but we decided to have a change. This was a very nice sweetener, and i think we will have more in the future. I am no expert on fortified wines, but i can recommend this to others.

If you like Muscat ?

I’m a great fan of Muscat and would happily buy this one. It’s about half the price of a Rutherglen and nearly as good.

Smooth

Smooth and mellow but a fraction thin for my liking.

"Sex on a stick(y)"

That's what my missus described it as anyway. Rich with raisin, caramel, orange, chocolate & a hint of burnt sugar. Velvety mouth-feel with a long finish. Winner of multiple gold medals - for a very good reason.

Luscious dessert wine

Sweet, as these wines should be but not cloyingly so. Hints of the usual floral/orange Muscat but with strong raisin/caramel. What a find - competes well with the classic southern French Muscats, though slightly different character. Goes superbly with cheese - surprisingly even with blue cheese! Quite happy drinking this in place of port/sherry/marsala.
