This cr?me de cassis uses the prestigious ?Noir de Bourgogne? variety of blackcurrant which is only grown in the C?te d'Or region in Burgundy. The fruit is macerated in a water-alcohol solution for around 10 weeks to extract the optimum flavour and aromatic intensity.
For a classic French ap?ritif, add a small dash to the bottom of a glass of dry white wine for a Kir ? Vin, or for something special, enjoy with Champagne instead for a Kir Royale.
