"Ardbeg Dolce is the Ardbeg Day 2026 Limited Edition, bringing together Ardbeg’s signature Islay peat smoke with the rich sweetness of Sicily. The whisky is matured in a combination of classic bourbon barrels and Sicilian Marsala Dolce wine casks, creating a rich and layered single malt with fruit, chocolate, spice and smoky peat character. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 47.8% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromatic peat smoke opens with apricot, orange marmalade, plump raisins and stewed apple. A splash of water reveals more earthy and savoury notes, including pine, mushrooms, olives and capers.
Palate: Rich and oily, with cinnamon, star anise and a touch of liquorice. Sweet notes of baked dates, walnuts, honeycomb and dark chocolate are balanced by dried fruit, lemon rind, salted nuts and dried herbs.
Finish: Long and smoky, with smoked applewood, drying tobacco, bonfire embers and rich, chewy peat oils."
