Aberlour A'bunadh Batch 84 700ml

Sorry cannot review the whisky yet as have just got through a "DRY JULY" but looking forward to opening it and enjoying it soon with friends who appreciate a good drop. In the meantime I must say that WAM is the best online "booze" shop out there in terms of prices, variety and delivery speed. They never disappoint!!!

This was always one of my favourites and the new batch did not disappoint: in addition to familiar citrus/honey/chocolate/raisin notes a whisper of eucalyptus miraculously added this time, which beautifully offsets and counterbalances the sweetness. Smooth enough to be perfectly drinkable at cask strength, I would not spoil it by diluting. The delivery was abysmal though: I was informed that the parcel was with the courier out for delivery at 7am but did not get it that day and even next day only got after 5pm, having called the courier company to demand delivery. I had been in touch with the store regarding this issue but they were not helpful at all.

One of my favourites, a delicious dessert scotch to share. Oops, I've got 2 open bottles now. I'll cope.

I have long been a fan of Aberlour single malts and was eager to try the Aberlour A'bunadh Batch 84. As described, it has deep rich sherry notes and Black cherries and dried fruits are obvious on the palate. Love it and will be back for more. Aberlour you never disappoint.

Great whisky this. The 60-61% ABV gives additional complexity to the flavour/experience.
Furthermore Whisky & More continues to exceed service expectations with delivery. Brilliant
