Good when it was cheap

Ok, so this is not a whisky. Its base is white rum since sugarcane is the most commonly used raw material to produce budget spirits in India. It apparently has a bit of scotch in it and I bet the rest is colours and flavourings to make it taste like whisky.

We drank this in uni days (20 yrs ago) with coke as it was the premium whisky available then and had a guarantee of not containing Methanol that could kill you or make you blind. Yes, buying booze was tricky in India then with no quality controls in place. Harsh, bitter if consumed straight. This was an ok buy in the low $30s for nights you wanted to get wasted with nostalgic thoughts about the days gone by.

THe best blended whiskey that I have had a quite a while.

Pleasant taste and so (too) easy to have a second dram.
