Kyro Malt Oloroso Rye Whisky 700ml (RRP $112)

i can't say anything bad about it, its an interesting taste. but i think the malt rye version is better.

On the nose, this comes across with the washed-out aroma that I associate with home-made whiskey that has been aged at too-low-an-ABV on a sub-par oak. This disappears on tasting, where the warmth befits the ABV, but the flavour is also surprisingly watery and weak, but with an unidentified dirty / leathery-esque note. Perfectly drinkable...if your mate made it and gave you some for free, but these Finns need to up their game if they want to charge money for it, especially big-boy $ like this one. It's got none of the rich aroma and fruity notes of even a halfway decent American rye.
