Boccantino Primitivo Susumaniello 2023 (due late May)

This may be my favourite red ever, or at the very least in the top three. It's how I'd imagine a really expensive wine should be, to be good enough to justify a high cost. Instead, this is an absolute bargain for the quality you get. It's dry but with low to moderate acidity, so smooth on the delivery. At the same time, it has a deep body but without being scathingly tannic. And the flavours, oh the flavours...rich and harmonious.
