The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #8 is a single malt scotch whisky, made using whisky from 21 hand-picked casks, including ten sherry butts, seven sherry hogsheads and four American oak barrels. Rich and elegant aromatics draw you in immediately. It's oaky and balanced with notes of dried orange peel, vanilla, honeycomb and Marzipan. There are accenting notes of spice and malt that will have your senses working toward overload. It's complex and shows great depth from start to finish. Tasting Note
Nose: The sweet flavours of baked citrus pies mingle with the aromas of orange marmalade and maple syrup. Enveloped in a sweet, nutty taste and abundant spices.

Palate: a rich sweetness of caramel, creamy vanilla and a swirl of artisanal honey. The initial sweetness of the perfectly toasted oak dissipates to reveal layers of candied ginger, a hint of cardamom and ground aromatic spices.

Finish: woody and persistent.
