In many ways this fine malt mirrors the character of Islay people - strong, yet gentle, warm yet mellow, but with a maturity beyond its years. Robustly peaty with that unmistakable breath of the seashore. The Ileach is "a true man from Islay" The Ileach is a peaty single malt from a secret Islay distillery, this has received rave reviews from whisky critics and has a solid core of peat and malt.

Tasty & affordable

A really nice, affordable smokey little number from the home of the peaty whisky, Islay

My "shelf" islay malt. Very easy drinking and outstanding value for money.

Light peated whisky

Not what I expected but what can you expect for that price, a little smoke but not memorable.

It’s got that tell-tale iodine tang and smoky punch that lingers in the throat like a Highland ballad. Truth be told, I’ve been on the budget blends lately, so it was a bit of a shock to the palate, but a welcome one. I’m thinking a side-by-side with Lagavulin and Talisker might be the only fair way to judge
