Deanston Virgin Oak 700ml

A fantastic drop! Starts out sweet in the mouth with some of the more stereotypical bourbon flavours (caramels and vanilla). This is then followed by dark chocolate coated oranges, which is later chased up by some bitter, tanic, oaky notes which linger around for a long slow finish. This is a great whisky to share with your friends (especially considering the price).

This lovely smooth a we touch of peat ,this is up there with top Scotch Whiskey

Soft honey and vanilla, then just a hint of liquorice and clove. There are definite bourbon vibes, with the woody spice notes and applewood, but overall the new oak is in check and it's a really nice start to the Deanston range. A very easy sipper that is a perma shelf item for us

This was the first time that I ordered this whisky and it certainly won't be the last! A very smooth malt with a delightful hint of sweetness at first, changing to spicy as it hits the palate.
