Ardbeg Smoketrails Cote Rotie Edition, the second of the series. Each edition in the Ardbeg Smoketrails collection, released in batches every year, is a marriage of Ardbeg matured in American oak casks and Ardbeg matured in secondary casks sourced from around the world.
The second release, Ardbeg Smoketrails Cote Rotie Edition, marries whisky matured in bourbon barrels with whisky matured in Cote Rotie red wine casks from the Rh?ne region of southern France.

Nose:    A spicy top note, reminiscent of grilled artichokes, peppers, and olive brine.

Taste:    Subtle smoked cranberry and tar fly high above before the palate is treated to dark chocolate and soft fondant.

Finish:   A fusion of saltiness, crispy bacon rinds, tar, and wood smoke, leaving a lasting impression.
