The Carta Blanca rum from Santiago de Cuba is a molasses-based rum which is initially aged in oak casks and filtered before bottling, removing the colour but not the flavour (making it a good choice for cocktails).
Nose: Clean and elegant with subtle leafy, grassy notes and tropical fruit.
Palate: Quite light, with some cooking spice warmth to it. Still rather grassy and herbal.
Finish: Sweet on the finish, with some warmth remaining.
