Disappointing

Presented well in a nice bottle, but only 2 out of 4 of us managed to force our drinks down with a lot of mixer. Sadly the worst rum any of us have ever had. You'd expect a lot more at this price point.
The best way to described it would be, yuk! Like an unsweetened, bitter, really badly made Bundy.
Who knows, if we dare to try it again it might grow on us. It may just be an acquired taste like caviar, snails or huhu grubs.

First tried this on an Air New Zealand flight; I knew it had to be good to make the grade and it did. Had to buy a bottle . It is a great rum, from Napier of all places.

Good, not great

A decent pour, but nowhere near as complex as the traditional rum powerhouses in the Caribbean. Sweet kumara-esque notes, smooth, only just cuts it as a sipping rum.

smooth

This is a fantastic rum.
