Commercial Description:
This Merlot based blend grown in the arid, stony soils of the famed Gimblett Gravels has long been a specialty of ours. With perfectly ripened fruit and custom made concrete fermenters we have produced a smooth and full bodied signature style, bursting with flavours of blackcurrant, dried herbs, plums and blackberry. A beautifully complex wine that can be enjoyed now or will age gracefully for several years.
Tasting Notes: This is a smooth and fruit orientated Gimblett Gravels blend. Densely coloured, it has a bouquet of dried herbs, red cherry, blackberry with subtle hints of cedar from a period of barrel maturation. It is soft and generous in nature and can be enjoyed as a youthful wine, but possesses sufficient tannin to age gracefully for many years.
Food Pairing: Red meat and game, rich umami vegetarian dishes including tomato based dishes.
