Commercial description 

A blend of 48% Syrah, 35% Cabernet’s, 6% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot. The Merits and qualities of creating a harmonious blend are reflected in this idyllic blend. Made using quality hand harvested grapes this wine was fermented for 28 days on skins then pressed to barrel where it underwent Malolactic fermentation. The wine has aromas of dark forrest berries plum and spice with vanillin undertones from the Barriques, the texture is smooth and long reflecting the soils and sunshine that out Waiheke island sites express. Great drinking on release but will age well for up to 5 years from Vintage. Vineyard Grown at Passage Rock, Oneroa Bay, and Fenton Vineyards all on Waiheke Island. Soil types are clay over ancient rock. Typical yields 5 to 8 tonnes per hectare. This is a very popular local wine with a strong following. Highly regarded for its consistency and quality and value.
