Kilchoman Coull Point is a lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky from Islay’s Kilchoman Distillery, originally released as a Travel Retail exclusive. Named after a rugged headland near the distillery, Coull Point captures the coastal character of its surroundings. This expression is a vatting of four- and five-year-old whiskies matured in fresh bourbon barrels, with a portion finished in Oloroso sherry butts. The result is a well-balanced dram combining gentle peat smoke, bourbon sweetness, and a subtle touch of sherry richness.
Nose: Soft peat smoke, citrus zest, vanilla, hints of sea spray, and a touch of dried fruit from the sherry casks
Palate: Creamy texture, with flavors of caramel, malt, gentle spice, peat smoke, and a touch of raisin or fig
Finish: Medium length with lingering smoke, oak sweetness, and a subtle maritime salinity
