Penderyn Peated 700ml

Being that this whiskey is only aged in a peat smoked barrel the Smoky notes are much more subtle. It’s initial tasting is also smooth.

As a huge fan of Islay Scotch I decided to give Penderyn Peated a try. It came as a wonderful surprise. Lighter and easier on the pallate than Peated Islay Scotch yet pleasant. Lemon zest, vanila, honey, marzipan, smoking notes in the nose. Taste give you the zesty fruity flavour with a smokiness in the back of the throat apearing after swallowing. A real good one to share with friends that find Peated Scotch to harsh on the pallate. Will keep one of these in the cabinet for sure
