"Terra Sancta operates out of Bannockburn in Central Otago, right on the famed Felton Road. They are a producer that loves to question convention and past methodologies to create products that speak of their place.
The Shingle Beach is one of their three unique single-block Pinot Noirs. Perched right on the edge of the glacial Kawarau River, this close-planted block of Pinot Noir vines thrives on soils of limestone and schist.
To let that Central Otago terroir shine, the winemaking is kept minimal. The fruit undergoes wild fermentation in large oak barrels, which showcases the pure characteristics of the site and the vintage. It's a brilliant expression of Pinot Noir."
