"Distilled at Annandale distillery in 2016, using heavily peated barley. This expression was bottled in 2023 from a single ex-Oloroso sherry Butt.
The nose offers notes of treacle, sweet smoke and spiced baked apples. The Oloroso casks have imparted a flavour of sweet spice, orange peel and heather honey. The use of peated barley brings a sweet, smoky note which lingers on the finish.
The second heavily peated expression from Annandale to arrive on our shelves, this bottling is an exciting reminder of an often-forgotten style of whisky."
