Johanneshof Pinot ROSE Single Vineyard Maybern NV 750ml
Only
$29.00
This single vineyard Pinot Noir Rosé is made from our steep home block 'Maybern" Vineyard, behind our winery. Dry-farmed and narrow planted, growing here is a labour of love, with most work carried out by hand. The notably soft acidity is achieved by carefully monitoring the ripening in the vineyard and choosing the picking time when all components are in balance. Hand harvested like all Johanneshof wines, it's a non-vintage wine made as an assemblage of our tiny 2023 and 2024 vintages.
Colour: Pale to light salmon-tinged pink—delicate and crystal‑clear.
Nose: Elegant bouquet of violets, red melon, rhubarb, almond, with softer notes of apricot, raspberry, creamy peach
Palate & Texture: Though technically dry, there’s a plush, almost off-dry feel from its ripe fruit texture
Flavours: Bright summer berries–raspberry, strawberry, cherry–layered with stone fruit (peach/apricot) and a subtle core of honeydew melon.
Texture: Medium to full-bodied yet smooth, with a silky mouthfeel and refreshingly soft acidity
Finish: Long, elegant closure showing a mix of fruit compote and gentle nutty-earth tones, reflecting its clay/sandstone terroir
Alc 14.5%
