From the USA to Scotland! An exciting release from WM Cadenhead, bringing you a cracking and rather old bourbon from Heaven Hill Distillery. Due to the hot climate, maturation in Kentucky is faster than in Scotland, but the heat causes a lot of evaporation so Cadenhead moved this cask to their own warehousing in Scotland to help with the loss, and let the bourbon age more comfortably. Aromas of toasted coconut, artifical strawberry sweets and fresh leather. The palate has dark chocolate covered almonds, juicy pineapple and cooking spices. Long and lingering finish, Pina Colada, kiwi fruit and oaky tannis.
Nose: Coconut, strawberry laces, leather.
Flavour: Almonds, dark chocolate, pineapple.
Finish: Dry. kiwi fruit, pina colada.
