The richly layered Glenfiddich 15 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky is innovatively matured in three types of oak cask: sherry, bourbon and new oak, before being married in our unique, hand-crafted Oregon pine Solera vat. Year on year, this Solera vat is never emptied but is always kept at least half full creating a deliciously harmonious and intense whisky which gets more complex and intriguing every year.
Nose: An intriguingly complex aroma. Sweet heather honey and vanilla fudge combined with rich dark fruits.
Palate: Silky smooth, revealing layers of sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger. Full-bodied and bursting with flavour.
Finish: Satisfyingly rich with lingering sweetness.

Smooth and balanced given the age but nothing outstanding about this malt. Its moving in a crowded market with a wide range of lower priced accessible malts and offers nothing special. Tasted it alongside Glenlivet Master Distiller's Reserve Small batch and it left the Glenfiddich in its dust.
A very affordable, very drinkable social whisky. Is it the best whisky ever? No, is it a whisky to drink with friends? Yes
Soft of the throat, as with all good solera’s very little burn.

Full of rich flavor and soft on the throat.
The strange & surprising thing about this whisky is, in a blind taste testing between this, the 12, & the 18 everyone got the exact same result. This came 3rd. It's not bad, it's not good, it's just ok. & it's never going to be on my shelf again.
