"Boccantino Primitivo da Uve Leggermente Appassite is a rich and velvety red from Salento in Puglia, southern Italy. Made from 100% Primitivo, the wine uses the traditional Appassimento method, where the grapes are partially dried on the vine to concentrate their flavours and richness. The result is a full-bodied, generously fruited wine with soft tannins, warming spice and excellent drinkability.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense and inviting, with aromas of ripe blackberry, dark cherry and mature fruit, complemented by sweet spice and subtle savoury notes.
Palate: Rich, ripe and luscious, with concentrated flavours of dark blackberry, blueberry and cherry. Hints of sweet liquorice, vanilla and spice add depth, while soft tannins give the wine a smooth, rounded texture.
Finish: Smooth and warming, with lingering dark fruit, vanilla and spicy notes."
