Talisker Neist Point 700ml
Initially launched for travel retail, Talisker Neist Point is named after Skye's most westerly point with the lighthouse depicted on the fold out box. It's a no age statement release that's said to use some of their "finest, rare casks that have been left to rest longer" alongside younger whiskies to create the desired flavour experience. Tasting Note Nose: Caramel, toasted sweet spices, vanilla and, as with many of the newer Taliskers, definite smoke. Palate: More of the same on the palate, which is no bad thing, with pear drops and fennel seed welcome additions. Finish: Sweet smoke, sweet spice, slightly drying. Very long.
