Commercial Description:  

This is a limited-edition blend from the Antiquary, crafted in tribute to the company?s founders, John and William Hardie, who got their start in the business all the way back in 1880. This particular expression is made from more than 30 whiskies that have spent over 15 years in Bordeaux wine cask. Limited to only 6,000 bottles, this has a wonderfully fruity and sweet profile making it an ideal after supper sipper!

Tasting Note:  

Aroma: Fresh, juicy red fruits like gala apple, red grape and pomegranate are to the fore. The high malt content of this blend is clear with notes of sweet barley and honey. In time these fresh, sweet flavours give way for a pronounced cinnamon spice.

Palate: The fresh fruit on the nose continues onto the palate and becomes slightly darker with flavours of fresh plum and cherry. A citrus note, like candied orange peel, emerges before a final pinch of cinnamon.

Finish: Clean with continued flavours of apple and grape.
